In memory of the Signature, one of 250.
When Tesla closed the book on the Model S, they did not just stop the line. They built 250 last cars, invite-only, numbered, never to be repeated and called them Signature: the same name they gave the first thousand in 2012. A fourteen-year story with a first page and a last.
This one is VIN 88.
One of 250 in the world. One of 20 in Europe. The one and only for Belgium.
The last Model S delivered in this country. Finished in exclusive Garnet Red, a colour Tesla never put on any other car, with a gold T on the frunk, gold Plaid and Signature on the tail, matching red door handles, and carbon-ceramic brakes with gold calipers. Inside: white Alcantara, gold piping, a dash plate that reads 1 of 250, and a welcome animation written for this VIN alone.
Elon called the end of the program an honourable discharge. The Fremont line that built these is becoming Optimus. There will not be another Model S.
Not for sale. Never was. Covered in a transparent, practically invisible PPF, with ceramic coating on top.
What a legend. An end of an era. The last of its kind. Oh, it’s a heartbreaker.
