De Tijd describes how demand for second-hand Teslas in Belgium rose sharply in 2018, while supply remained very limited and prices stayed high. Many buyers no longer wanted to wait for the Model 3 and opted for a used Model S, while new Teslas kept getting more expensive. Bruce Lanhove of Nikola Brussels points to the value of the battery, which can still be used for home storage after its life in the car. Johnathan Wong adds that most owners who sell their Tesla do so to buy a new one.
